Join.me Out of beta
Today Logmein maker of amazing remote support software has announced that there new product join.me is out of beta. What is join.me? What can join.me do for you?
Here is an excerpt from there site:
Get your people together, without actually getting them together. Just instantly share your screen so every body’s on the same page. No need for a plane, a projector or a sandwich platter. Just gather at join.me.So what is join.me exactly? It’s an impromptu meeting space that happens wherever, whenever. It’s getting a second or third pair of eyes on your presentation from across the hall or across the continent. It’s sharing your screen instantly with anyone or everyone to get stuff done, quickly.
It’s join.me, the last two words in an invitation to collaborate, meet, train, demo or show-off.”
Just like all of LMI’s other products, join.me has the fit and finish of a well built app. The software works with mac as well as PC. It is very easy to use, you navigate to Join.me, click either share your screen or join. If you click share it launches a download that installs the software on the machine and your off. All you have to do is send the code to your coworkers and you will be in business.
There are 2 different versions of the software, the free version and the pro version.
Free Version:
- screen sharing
- chat
- file transfer
- remote control
Pro Version:
All of the features of the free version plus:
- personal link
- meeting scheduler
- user management
- meeting lock
This service is going to help me tremendously when trying to show users how to do something fast or to show a demo of some new software. Major props to Logmein for hitting another one out of the park.
Until next time
